Monday is never quite as sexy as Tuesday, well that's the opinion of our friends at Planned Parenthood which they celebrate with Sexy Tuesdays. The Planned Parenthood of Columbia Willamette office presents this fun event every month for like-minded people and features drinks, food and entertainment all for a good cause.

This month's event features vodka cocktails & food from New Deal Distillery as well as a raffle drawing for prizes. This event is FREE and includes the musical stylings of Amanda Richards.

Who would have ever thought that a day of the week could be sexy, if I had a say in the matter I would pick Friday; at least it gets me off.

Widmer Brothers' The Big Chill '09

New Deal Distillery's Season's Eatings

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 5th; that's when New Deal Distillery kicks off the holiday season with their culinary exhibition of Season's Eatings. The event will feature a variety of local food vendors such as Black Sheep Bakery, Cafe Velo, Monteillet Fromagerie and many more. This a great opportunity to sample some great local goods.

The event takes place from noon - 5:00pm and promises to be a lively holiday market to celebrate all things local including chocolates, cheeses, spirits and other sundries. Not only will it be an opportunity to sample some local fare, it also benefits a great cause, the Oregon Food Bank. Admission to festivities is just one non-perishable food item (or a cash donation) all benefiting the Oregon Food Bank. Not a bad deal for an afternoon of free booze and food.

For this month's First Thursday, ANKA Gallery is featuring the curated show "Speakeasy," a presentation of speakeasy painting & free speech verse by artists Chris Haberman & John Graeter. ANKA is a short stubble from the hipster galleries at Everett Street Lofts.

The opening reception will be held on Thursday, November 5th from 6pm - 10pm. There is typical a decent selection of FREE wine to satiate your artistic thirst.
